Woman arrested after shooting a black teen as he walked by her house
A white woman who once complained about ‘bad blacks’ in her Macon, Georgia neighborhood has been arrested after shooting a black teen in the head as he walked on the street outside of her house.
Elisabeth Faye Cannon, 47, has been charged with aggravated assault in the shooting of 15-year-old Vernon Marcus Jr., who she says had been throwing rocks at her home for nearly a week straight with a group of other young people.
But another young man who was with Marcus that night said that it was Cannon who had been harassing them – yelling racial slurs at them and claiming they had broken into her house.
