Missouri dad threatened kids with gun on school bus: cops

A fuming Missouri father stormed onto a school bus with a loaded gun and threatened students and a bus driver, police said.

Christian M. Goodson, the father of a daughter in sixth grade, was upset that a student had previously fought with the girl, according to court documents obtained by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

“You got what you wanted,” Goodson said as he pointed the weapon at everyone on the bus, court records show.

The 31-year-old, of Berkeley, was charged Wednesday with seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful use of a weapon, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Goodson forced his way onto the bus just before 7 a.m. after he allegedly used the pistol to break glass on the school bus door when a woman behind the wheel refused to let him aboard. A bus monitor then opened the door fearing that he would start shooting, police said.

He also encouraged students on the bus to fight, Ferguson-Florissant School District officials said.

The furious father proceeded to push the driver as the students ran toward the back of the bus, which was transporting nine students — including two of his own children at the time. He then grabbed his kids and fled, police said.

No injuries were reported during the incident, a school district spokesman told the newspaper.

Goodson, who was ordered held Thursday at the St. Louis County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, was later arrested at his home, where the pistol was recovered, police said.
